Diane Onorio, owner/director of 'The Core of Wellness - Boston North' announced the opening of her new wellness center in Wakefield Massachusetts in 2014. Ms. Onorio’s vision was to create an environment in which the essence of wellness is clearly defined for individuals of all ages, skill sets and abilities. Ms. Onorio brings over 18 years of teaching experience as Dance Educator, Choreographer and Fitness Professional. 

Ms. Onorio holds a B.S. in Sport Movement Science from Salem State University and National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) certified. She has been a practitioner of the Pilates method for over 17 years and holds Specialty Certificate of Advanced Training in Pilates. Ms. Onorio is a strong advocate of the Pilates method as a facilitator of supporting the human body to function to its optimum. As a teacher of the Pilates method, Ms. Onorio has observed the quality of wellness enhanced for individuals in every facet of life.

Ms. Onorio has been choreographer to many musical productions including Chorus Line, Annie, Godspell, Nunsense, Songs for a New World, Lion King, Honk! and many other local productions. Ms. Onorio holds Certificate in Dance Education and Liberal Arts in Dance. She was recognized for outstanding academic achievement and awarded Certificate of Honor for Excellence in Dance.

As a teacher of yoga for children, Ms. Onorio holds Certificate of training in Yoga Therapy for children on the autism spectrum and she greatly recognizes the need for the expansion of these services.

Ms. Onorio is a certified instructor in Wakefield and surrounding communities for GZSOBOL - Parkinson's Network where her goal is to provide the tools to improving and maintaining quality of life through specific exercise programs for individuals with Parkinson's. In recognizing the need for further work in health education programs. Ms. Onorio plans to pursue a graduate program in the near future.
