MICHAEL PHILIP O'BRIEN

PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR OF 11TH HOUR THEATRE COMPANY
Michael is the Producing Artistic Director of 11th Hour Theatre Company in Philadelphia and a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a focus on musical theater. Under his leadership, 11th Hour productions have received fifteen Barrymore Awards for excellence in theatre and garnered 55 Barrymore Award nominations.
As a performer, Michael is a five-time Barrymore Award nominee and a two-time winner, for Outstanding Leading Actor in a Musical (Avenue X, 2009) and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical (Field Hockey Hot, 2016). Performing credits include: Miss Saigon (TUTS); Casino Paradise (Jazz at Lincoln Center); The Bomb-itty Of Errors (Milwaukee Rep); Les Mis, Godspell, Carousel, Man Of La Mancha, Plaid Tidings, Damn Yankees, Fiddler, How To Succeed...,Oliver (Walnut Street Theatre); Sweeney Todd, Parade, Passion (Arden Theatre Company); Hetty Feather (Delaware Theatre Company); RENT, See What I Wanna See, tick, tick...BOOM!, Rooms, Avenue X, Field Hockey Hot, The Bomb-itty Of Errors (11th Hour Theatre Company).
Directing credits: Something Like A War (Upcoming World Premiere) and concerts of Passing Strange, Side Show and Urinetown. Michael is also a member of The Summer Club, an original show featuring songs from the Golden Era sung with a 17-piece band, which performs throughout the Philadelphia area as well as regionally.
